Taking It In Stride

I’m determined to write ten blogs about myself and my journey, but maybe they don’t all have to be the first ones. Or maybe I should shorten it to five. That sounds better, five posts to get to know me a bit. The rest can be about things I would read myself.

I can write down my recipes and not have a whole storybook ahead of them. I hate trying to find a recipe and I have to scroll all the way down the page just to find ingredients! I can write my articles about amazing character actors and give my opinions on movie scenes and whatnot. That’s a lot of what I like to read.

Of course I could also write fantasy stories, like another other did and turned it into a book. Of course it wasn’t the first book she’d written, but I really loved reading it. It’s called In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan. I love her books! There’s quite a few authors I could write about too.

The possibilities are really endless when it comes to writing about things. Even about myself. But as with a lot of people out there, I feel weird just talking about myself. One day I’ll really try to get more out, about the things I’m proud of and the journeys I’ve been on. I may even share a few dark moments with you someday. But for now, lets find more fun things to talk about.

So this will be my last ‘diary’ blog, at least as long as I can make time to write other articles. I’m still trying to get used to doing this once a week. And I should also go back and add pictures and edit/add to the previous posts. So many things I want to do, but I’m struggling.

I don’t even remember what I wrote about myself before, but I have depression and anxiety. I live alone with five cats. I have amazing friends. I turned forty-two this year and I am determined to make it the best year ever! At least from one birthday to the next. So far, so good.

I’m a Hollywood trained professional make-up artist. I’m an aspiring bookkeeper. I try to use my skills from my associates degree in computer animation. I like to cook, make art, and hang out with friends. I also like to read, watch movies, and play video games. I know better than to start every sentence with ‘I’ but for this I can’t help it. Another reason I don’t like writing about myself.

I know these should be so much longer, according to those blogs I’ve stopped looking at because I was working on other things. But reading them seemed to go on forever. I would much rather write a story in bits and pieces to be read than to make a huge long thing that no one wants to read.

Maybe that will also be a blog soon, the beginning of a story to be told in bits and pieces. I have many of them in my head, all vying for attention, writing themselves behind my back. Maybe I’ll introduce my cats to you, as they all have interesting stories of their own and I have a million pictures of them to share.

I’ll save some stuff that I don’t want to get linked to the store. Stuff about other things I’m into, things that deserve their own sites without trying to make money. Maybe I’ll just get to work on those sites and write blogs there. Really, why write a blog on a store site anyway? Unless it’s about the store and the products.

That’s it! I will no longer try to write every Sunday on this blog, but will write blogs that have to do with the store in the future. I will make new sites that will feature my other interests and link them to here, so you can find them if, by some miracle, you actually are following along. I will continue to update the website and add to the store, once I have the information I need to set it up.

So, thank you for reading this far, I have enjoyed our time together, brain storming and confiding. I hope to see you on one of my other sites as I get them going. One will be a pod-cast! The listening kind, not video. I have enough to do without trying to doll myself up.

And so, I bid you adieu. With a fond farewell to all of you.
